My Art

This sunflower duo has been donated to the Greatest Goal Ministries upcoming auction.

The ministry has been working in Sierra Leone, West Africa with the disabled and under served population since 2007. The ministry's free primary care outpatient hospital treated over 8,000 patients last year and the number of people seeking health care continues to grow.

The funds raised from this auction will be used to establish a cervical and breast cancer screening center. The first cancer screening center in all of Sierra Leone. If you wish to help or donate please contact: Patty Davis, 206-954-2214

Creative Minds Northwest

This Summer I joined Creative Minds N.W.  Art Group. A small group of well established and talented artist. I have been teaching art to kids for many years and decided it was time to start painting for my self again. If your an Artist .. We all know how intimidating it is to show your first group of paintings. Ugh. After seeing the caliber of art done by the other artist, the bar was set high! real high.
Well, they allowed me to show my paintings in our first Creative Minds art show this Sept. I SOLD THREE PAINTINGS!!!  I was so excited. There's nothing like selling a piece of art to give me a little encouragement.

Here is a few of my Sunflowers.

June 2012
One of my first painting this past summer. Experimenting with Wood glue mixed with joint compound.  I love working with a plaster like material.

I call this one Cinnamon Sun.

A poem about a sun flower fairy (Bee). I tried a transfer onto  a sealed plaster finish. It didn't work as well as I liked. I'll have to refine the transfer.
